Better Late than Never

Day 2-
I am thankful for my friends. Both new and old we have had so many good memories I am so thankful to have you all in my life!

Day 3-
I am thankful for technology. I have had an opportunity to grow up in the ever changing age of technology. Technology has made it possible for me to be across the country but still see my cousins grow up and share in the joy if my friends life changing events.

Day 4-
I am thankful for Mickey Mouse. A little silly I know but Disney is a huge part of my life, more than ever now. Walt Disney said- "We must remember this one thing- it was all started by a mouse."

Day 5-
I am thankful for my education. It has opened my world to so many things and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to attend school and get my degrees.

Day 6- I am thankful for airplanes. The make life so much better. As I mentioned early I am living on the other side of the country and inventions like planes make it much easier for me to get home and for my family to visit me. The 6 day journey to the otherside of the country is not one I wish to do often.

Disney Movies= Life Lessons

It's raining outside and I cannot remember the last time I spent a day on the couch, today is that day! I have been putting my personal redbox-esque collection of movies to work and am currently sharing the wonder that is The Emperors New Groove with my deprived roommate who has never seen it. It is such a great movie with a great message- sharing is caring and caring for others is important. Sometimes I wish I could sit some people down, make them watch this movie and they would get the message and live it! Not to mention Kronk is one of the best characters ever.

24 days of thankfulness

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and the month of November ( I cannot believe it's almost the end of the year already!) I am going to do a What I am thankful for each day for the next 24 days until Turkey day hits. Today I am most thankful for my family. My parents have always been so supportive of me in everything I do and I am very lucky I was blessed with parents who encourage me to follow my dreams. I also have an amazing sister whom I love more than anyone and am thankful we have such a close relationship.

Happy Birthday!

Today is the 50th Anniversary of Breakfast at Tiffany's, one of my favorite movies of all time. Audrey Hepburn is a role model of mine and this movie marked a pivotal point in her career. Last year I finally read the novella and while I loved Truman Capote work, Holly Golightly was really brought to life by Ms. Hepburn. The Little Black Dress began here and who doesn't want to wear awesome hats, big sunglasses and spend an afternoon doing "firsts" in New York City.

Today is my birthday and I get one every year...

Yay! Today is my 25th Birthday and it has been a great way! A little more low key the other years it was the perfect way to celebrate this point in my life and my time in Florida. I got some fun ballons at work, doughnuts and lots of good wishes. I went to Magic Kingdom with some friends, got my birthday button, rode Haunted Mansion and got a picture with Mickey and Minnie. The fun continued when I got home and was greeted by my roommates with cookies and princess jewels. It has been a great day and I am excited to see what this year brings! Thanks everyone for making it magical!

Dreaming of Fall

I am dreaming a fall. For me it really is just a dream as Orlando won't get a fall season (we will hopefully get a relief from the heat though). I love fall, the colors, the feeling of crisp air in the morning, sweaters, scarves and boots. Fall is great for fashion practicality because the temperatures aren't as extreme as winter so it is easy to add a pair of tights to a cute skirt/shorts or a chunky cardigan to a sun dress and magically you have a fall friendly look for a cheap price.
