Day 1, 2 and three

Greetings from Germany! Day three is almost over and it has been crazy. The flight over seemed to drag on forever. For the first time ever I could not sleep! Also the flight attendants were grumpy and not helpful whatsoever. Amsterdam was very cool. It was so picturesque (sp?) with all of the canals and bike riders everywhere. The first day we just kinda putted around, saw Dam Square and took a nap. Later that night we got some yummy food, did what the locals do and then called it a night. Our room was on fire and so that made to a long night , however we still woke up early the next day and saw a lot. We started with the Anne Frank house followed by the Van Gogh museum and a modern art museum featuring a huge Andy Warhol exhibit. Amsterdam was very fun, right down to the underwear professionals in the red light district, you cannot help but walk by and see all the bright red windows!
That night we hopped on a train to Berlin. We got in late the night and found our way to our hostel. It was kinda on the ouskirts of town but luckly for us some people did not show up so we got this huge room all to ourselves! It was nice since the night before I had to get ready for bed in the dark as one of our roomates was already sleeping.
Berlin has been a lot of fun today, minus the cold, it is freezing! We have seen so much for such a short time. We went to the Pergamon museum which was pretty sweet. After that we went and had Doner Kabos (sp?) which were tasty and... wait for it... coke in a glass bottle! After our tasty lunch we hit up the Reichstag, which took forever to get into but had a sweet view. We stopped by the uber popular Brandberg gate for some fun pictures and then went to Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish Museuem. Which all of that now brings me to here, where we are waiting to catch our night train to Munich. Berlin has such an odd feeling, it is hard to descibe. It is unlike anything I have seen. It is modern with an erie feel, it also has a lot less English on the signs than the Netherlands.
