Yesterday was UI's first soccer game. It was just an exhibition game but we went through the whole process of normal game days. The one difference was my boss was out of town. I have run soccer games in the past but Tyson was always around to help me set up and was only a phone call and a jaunt away. This time however he was out of town and out of cell service.
Everything went pretty well, there was no huge issues. Some missing benches (we found them), a missing staff member (at least we had three) and a small mix up with the refs because of the missing staff member and we were all set. Sadly we lost but I think it was a great chance for our freshman to get a feel for the field and Division one soccer. GO VANDALS!
