My friend
Hayley made Lettuce wraps the other day and after reading about them I had to make my own. I just bought a new wok at Ikea and this was the perfect chance to try it out. I got home and realized I didn't have soy sauce (one of the those overlooks from moving) so I had to improvise on the sauce. I cooked the chicken first in the wok with a little bit of olive oil. Then I chopped up half a can of water chestnuts and through them in.
The sauce-
2 Tbs brown sugar
2 Tbs Teriyaki sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire
1 Tbp sriracha hot sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
I mixed up all up and into the wok then went. I wrapped the mixture in lettuce leaves and dinner was served. It took me less than 30 minutes and it was amazing. Thanks for the inspiration Hayley!
