I listen to my ipod at work and some days I get sick of my usual music so I go searching for buried treasure far from the depths of my usual playlists and go-to albums.
In high school my friend and I were a little concert crazy. We would take off right after 4th period and all pile into my mom’s van to traveling the two and a half hours to Salt Lake City, UT to see all the bands we loved perform live.
One band we saw on numerous occasions was Taking Back Sunday. We got to follow them from performing shows in a tiny fair venue to warped tour and eventually the Delta Center, one of Salt Lake City’s biggest venues.
As my ipod randomly selected them this afternoon I couldn’t help but smile and take a second to think back to the “glory days” of road trips, stops at A&W, live music and the feeling of complete bliss spent with some of my best friends.
